Many of the people work on local Tea Plantations (for less than a dollar a day). Thousands of acres of land in northern India are used for growing tea. The workers have to work long hard hours and constantly be aware that snakes love the cool shade provided by the tea plants.

Drinking water is a problem in Northern India so Missionary Carlisle Hanna has helped dig numerous well and provide pumps to enable communities to have adequate clean water.

People are everywhere. Anytime you stop a crowd will gather around. With a digital camera you can take their picture and show them the picture immediately. The first time many of them have ever seen themselves in a photo.
